Makeup Entry #04: Spring sweet
Hello again! This time round I am back with a makeup tutorial as promised! Today’s look is SPRING SWEET!

Spring is around the corner and I was thinking of creating a “warmer” look with 2 main colour: Pink and Red. This look goes pretty well with my reddish brown wig too in my opinion. Also, my contact lens look green(irl it is grey) which turns out suprisingly complementary to this look, making it like a transition from winter to spring.
So here is the cos-menu(cosmetic+menu):

Kate Stick Concealer*
Kanebo KATE face powder Glow Type
Kiss Me Heroine Make smooth cover powder 02 Natural Beige*

NEW COSMETIC REVIEW for Makeup #04 - Spring Sweet Look

1. Kate under eye concealer - One colour only
The first impression that I had of this concealer upon application was its high moisturing level. As my eye area is rather dry, I really need an eye concealer which not only conceals well but also provides moisturizing effect so it doesn’t cake up. Comparing this to Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Warm Beige I actually prefer Kate’s. In terms of its concealing power, I would say this is the best among all those eye concealer that I had previously used. The price is rather economical too!
2. Kate Stick Concealer
It provides decent coverage and the colour blends in well to my skin colour. The texture is super smooth, giving off a natural finishing. Another great product from KATE!

3. Kiss Me Heroine Make smooth cover powder 02 Natural Beige
I have always wanted to buy a proper foundation for heavier coverage and this seems promising. Heroine Make Smooth Power can cover pores and absorb sebum with its skin-smoothing powder.

There is a total of 2 shades and I chose shade #02, which the package claimed to fit the average skin tone of Japanese women.

Soft. silky puff for even application. This specially designed Silky Fit Puff is soft and malleable, able to reach tight corners for maximum coverage. The puff is really soft

I cannot give in-depth review for this compact powder because I had only tried it once for this makeup tutorial. I will post a proper review based on this soon :) The tone suits pretty well but just that I wish it can make me look a little fairer and glowy.
So off we go to the actual makeup tutorial!
Step 1: Conceal skin and eye area

The steps are similar to makeup tutorial #2, except that this time round I used Kiss Me Heroine Make smooth cover powder 02 Natural Beige rather than SANA Maiko-Han Powder N Pink. The finishing of Kiss Me Heroine Make smooth cover powder is pretty matte. Now the eye makeup :)

I wanted to create a cat eye effect so I thought of using eyeshadow to draw a cat-eyed effect together with eyeliner. Here are the cos-item.
#01 - Maybelline Hyper Diamonds BR 1
#02 - Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 01
#03 - Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner Deep Black

Instructions: Using #01, apply medium brown colour(arrowed in pink) around eye socket area. Opening your eyes, draw an upward cat-eyed line that spreads beyond your eyebrow to create a bold liner effect. Using #02 and #03, draw a downward line that spans to the base line of the eyeshadow-drawn liner.
A close-up look

And now we are done with the eye makeup! Next step is eye enhancement, which is none other than using the contact lens, upper and lower eyelashes! Plus this time round I am wearing a secret weapon! *laughs! I will reveal what it is later :P

Left - Dolly Wink Eyelash 01 - Dolly Sweet
Right - Dolly wink Eyelash 05 - Real Nude

Both side of my eyes are applied with both upper and lower lashes. I love how Dolly wink #05 real nude lower lashes looks. Indeed it looks very very natural! <3 But if you notice, my double eyelid isn’t very parallel to create a bigger eye effect so I need to use a secret weapon and that is a. double. eyelid tape!
Silly as it sounds for someone who already have a double eyelid but using a eyelid tape does really create a bigger eye effect. And I am using Koji EYE TALK Double Eyelid Technical Eye Tape Slim Type

Here is a side-by-side comparison picture

The difference is quite big, isn’t it? With the eyelid tape, it does seem like my eyes are bigger. Besides tape, I am thinking of experimenting with glue because tape are still quite obvious and it can get out of place a lot, especially if you look upwards.

Last but not least, this look cannot be completed without a pinky cheek colour and pink lip colour!

And completing my look is my new duotone wig <3

I hope you find this tutorial useful and enjoyed it.

Till then :)
