Dolly Wink Limited Edition Eyelash Set Review

Good news! Ladies who have been eyeing for Tsubasa’s Dolly Wink Limited Edition Eyelash set will be happy to know that it is now available at selected Singapore Watson stores at SGD24.90!

I have gotten mine at AMK Hub yesterday and there were only a few left lying on the shelf. I am not too sure if there are any more stocks so if you are thinking of getting one, it is better to play safe and get it asap since the price is pretty decent. Also, this set will be available until 28 July and while stock last.

I also took some photographs of its display shelf and would like to share it with you here.

I like display boxes like these! Look they are in milky pink and purple and the colour scheme totally worked on me, not that I like pink but they are so nice to look at. And a super huge tsu-chan picture which works like magnet to grab your attention!

Okay, now off to the actual product review :)

Packaging

Like the rest of its packaging, this Dolly Wink LE Eyelash Set came sealed in a plastic case with the signature ribbon design at the top right-hand corner. Note if you want to retain this packaging for storage, remember to do it carefully as I was close to ripping the packaging off because it was sealed too tight -.-

This set comes with one pair of Dolly Wink Sweet Girly Eyelash #02, Lower Lash Baby Cute #06 and a limited edition purple colour version of the eyelash case. Love the packaging to death!

The instructions

The instructions are in Japanese but it didn’t bother me as there are illustrations which makes it easy for me to follow and the English instructions are pasted behind the plastic packaging.

Don’t worry, this set does come with the glue. Mine was mysteriously missing when I took this photo and only to realise it was left lying in my bag :/

The lashes

For the #06 lower eyelash, I was quite surprised to find out that they are individual short lashes but this is in a good way. These are pre-cut meant to give greater flexibility for adhesion.

The case

Well, I wouldn’t say I am impressed by this case as it doesn’t feel sturdy but as a free gift I am welcoming it with open arms. The divider seems like a great idea. The black prints are in matte and I am worried about this fading off with time. I am not too sure.

On Dolly Wink #02 Sweet Girly Eyelashes

As usual, Dolly Wink’s eyelashes are of good quality. They are soft and have transparent band. At the first glance, it appears that this #02 Sweet Girly eyelashes looks rather similar to #01 which I have blogged about here but it isn’t really so. As compared to #01, #02 definitely have more volume. Just look at the edge of the lash for its volume and curls! Love it! I actually prefer #02.

On Dolly Wink #06 Baby Cute Eyelashes

I really like the idea of having extremely short lower lashes for the flexibility to piece them wherever and however I want them to be. Particularly for people who just want to add a little volume to the edge of their lower eyelid, this is definitely good as the crisscrossed designed lashes are sparse. But the only downside is that since they are so small, you got to make sure that they are properly stuck back on the eyelash tray so they don’t get lost.

However if you are expecting a Miliyah Kato’s short and intense lower eyelash look, you may need more than one box of this judging by the amount of lashes there are and I can tell one box is clearly not enough.

Overall

I absolutely love this Limited Edition Eyelash Set and am thinking of buying another set already! For its quality and design at the price, I highly recommend it. This is able to create a soft and feminine cat eye look and at the same time, I can see how these lashes can also be used to create a dramatic look.
