Meeting Ena Matsumoto again - So Lucky!

I cannot believe how lucky I have gotten myself to be able to see my No. 1 Oshare-P(fashion producer) Ena Matsumoto upclose in Singapore again! Special thanks to Orenjii for notifying me of Ena’s arrival in Singapore! That girl is always ahead of Ena’s latest news than me. Time to buck up! XD

The little fan girl in me was once again starstruck and even more inspired than ever after seeing her again. This time round, the encounter with her was a little more engaging than the first as her colleagues were able to converse in basic English! And you might be thinking now, how was it like for me to finding Ena chan at her hotel and how long did I wait to see her? As unbelievable as it did the first time round, she just miraculously appeared next to me when I alighted from the cab! So what was she doing here in Singapore again? Well, how about let’s go back to the start to recap on the sequence of events to meeting her~ 

Knowing Ena’s arrival in Singapore

Yes, Orenjii thank you once again! The ever-lovely tumblr owner of http://orenjii.tumblr.com/ PMed me to inform me about Ena’s arrival in Singapore and so I immediately checked on her blog! She blogged about checking in to her hotel and immediately I knew which hotel she was staying at, lol!

It was on 29 March Thursday!

I was feeling really mixed about trying my luck to meet her again this time round, to be honest. There was a part of me who hesitated for fearing of disappointment if I didn’t get to see her from hours of waiting because the first encounter with her left me feeling so ecstatic even up till now. I don’t want to feel a sense of disappointment whenever I think about her. Call me obsessed with her, I am that obsessed with her. But you know me being me, I finally knocked some sense in myself to rather preferred feel disappointed from not bumping into her than to feel regretful for not even trying at all. I know there are people out there who will kill to get that one chance. No, I am not blowing her popularity out of proportion, she is really famous k!

In the end, I chose not to try my luck on 29 March but on the day after because I had to be on time for work the next day and she blogged about how exhausted she was. Plus the coming day was on a Friday when I get to leave work earlier and I could afford to wait for her all night since I do not need to work on Sat. Yes, set! 30th March luck be with me!

Off I go to see her

After work, I went back home to prep myself and worn my EMODA apparels which I bought from Shibuya 109. The preparation wasn’t as rushed as the other time round and I took a bit of time to put on better makeup. Strangely, I wasn’t worried about missing the right timing to meet her when taking my own sweet time to prepare. I just felt I have to be there by 7 plus. My friend Jayce who knows Japanese also kindly agreed to accompany me to meet Ena~ ^^

And when I reached the hotel, I walked straight and was thinking to meet up with my friend first. Walk, walk, walk …………. still thinking I would most probably had to wait till wee hours before I get a chance to see her. Still no sight of my friend and I was standing next to a cafe and looked around and

Exactly what did I do in my last lifetime to be so lucky again to see her just like that without having to do anything?!!?!!?!?!!! Or is it what they call, fate? Totally grateful that I was spared from telling white lies to the receptionist for hope they will reveal where tower Ena is staying by disguising as Ena’s friend looking for her. Okay, I know that is lame!

And so I said hello and waved hello!

So happy I could die! That is the desirably perfect face I am staring at right in front of me and so upclose. Her glowing complexion is so flawless man and features so perfect. The first sentence I said was “Do you remember me?” haha! And next, I was scrolling though the photographs in my camera inside my bag to show her the photograph we took together the other time. She asked “Picture? Okay!” but I wasn’t thinking about that at that time. I really wanted to show her our previous photograph together so that she could remember. And then a guy came by… It was Mr Azuma. 

Thanks to Mr Azuma, I was able to ask Ena some questions. :) Then I suddenly remember that I set our photo as my mobile lock screen pic and took it out and said it was us. She saw, smiled and was saying something in Japanese. Mr Azuma asked me where was it taken(I think so) and I said it was here, the exact location where we were then.

Weeweee~~~ I asked to have our photo taken and Mr Azuma took out her camera and we posed. *Flash*** Her camera flash were super duper bright and I had a feeling it wasn’t going to turn out well. Then she said “Check” and walked up towards Mr Azuma and I followed her. She showed me the photograph and it was overly-exposed and we looked weird but I said ‘Ok’ as I did not want to bother her too much. And next I took out my DSLR camera and both of them went ‘Wahh..’ and laughed, probably thinking the professional DSLR camera is a little overkilling haha! Once again, I stood next to her and started smiling.

Sorry I didn’t meet to look rude by pressing my lips together because I was hiding my lips from shivering when the shutter went off. Nervousness always show whenever I get myself to smile next to her. Pure coincidence for a similar pose.

Our conversation continued…

After the photo-taking, I wanted to tell her how famous she was outside of Japan and told Mr Azuma to tell her that, lol! She smiled and Mr Azuma asked if I meant Singapore and I told her outside of Japan! She really needed to know how famous she is in tumblr community hehe :3 And next, she spoke some Japanese to Mr Azuma and Mr Azuma translated it to me. She wanted to know how did I find my way to her and I said “ブログ”, means blog. She looked confused and most probably thinking how did I manage to guess that right since she did not mention where she stayed at all in the blog. I was able to tell by looking at the picture she posted of the hotel lobby, also guessed correctly by Orenjii. Mr Azuma asked if I know Japanese and I said I knew a little and am studying Japanese now and he told that to Ena. :D I kept telling them how lucky I was and they smiled over it.

Next I was super duper curious over the purpose of her visit since she confirmed on her blog that it was for work-related matter and….. does it mean we are going to have an EMODA boutique in SINGAPORE?!!?!  OMG that does really excite me and I need some confirmation! So I asked Mr Azuma if there were plans for a Singapore outlet and mentioned “Shigoto”, which means work, to Ena and guess what, Mr Azuma and Ena said somewhere along the line that they are thinking so I went crazy with my thumbs up saying SUGOII!!!!!

There is a possibility for an EMODA boutique in Singapore!!! BTW, EMODA and MURUA have an outlet at Hong Kong’s The One shopping mall so EMODA actually do have an oversea outlet and another one shouldn’t come as a surprise though. But Singapore?! Hell YEAH!

And another guy came by and Ena introduced him to me but I couldn’t get who was he but felt like he was someone very important, probably director of EMODA or what, and silly me went to go on and shook his hand. *face palm* It was Mr Yoshi.

Signature Time!

Then I took out Ena’s Secret and was hoping she will sign on it since it was a pity I didn’t have her book the other time. And while I was taking the book out from the EMODA Fukubukuro bag, she saw my bag and said SUGOII! ^^ She must be pleased to know a Singaporean fan had her Fukubukuro bag~

But…. I was having a bit of problem digging for my marker in my super big EMODA bag while holding her book so I led her to the nearest reception counter table where there wasn’t anyone there at that time and she followed. Mr Azuma and was laughing over it XD

And then she signed on my Ena’s Secret book! :DDDDD

Yeah!!!! I did it! I told myself if I had the chance to see her again, I must get her to sign on my Ena’s Secret which is all about her, and not on any EMODA publicity materials. And of course not forgetting to get a signature for  Orenjii who I am eternally grateful towards~

Mr Yoshi was so surprised that I have this EMODA newsletter and asked me where I had gotten it. I told him I gotten mine at Shibuya :D

And my friend Jayce came and I introduced her as my friend. And guess what, she told Ena chan “Da Fan”, which means big fan, and she laughed. Thanks buddy for letting her know that haha!

And it was about time to go~

After signing the EMODA newsletter, I wanted to know when they are leaving and asked my friend to ask the qns. Mr Yoshi said the day after tomorrow in English, which is actually today(Apr 1) and I thanked them. Bye bye, off they go and I couldn’t stop smiling. 

Ena, thank you so much for this wonderful encounter! I wouldn’t forget how lucky I have gotten myself! Also Jayce for being there with me on that day!

Let’s hope that EMODA opens a boutique here and there will be another chance of Ena visiting Singapore again. If that happens, I really hope to organize something here at tumblr community to compile oversea fans messages into a fan book and pass it to her. She needs to know how loved she is outside of Japan! Don’t you think so? :P

I really hope to be able to blog about another encounter with Ena chan and am pinning my hopes high on it. Who knows I might get another chance to meet her again, just like how I could never imagine seeing her again. :)

Update: I was featured in Ena’s blog again here and she wrote about meeting me as a ‘returning fan’. So happy and feeling fortunate! She has better photograph of us than those that I have taken! :)
